Wrightware® Legacy Continues:
New entry i7 Quad and HIGH-END Xeon® Best of all, It is all GREEN.
Oct 16, 2009 -- Wright Brothers Technologies Corporation has announced two new Wrightware® Business Class Server Systems based on the Intel Quad i7 processors and includes a high-end version based on Intel® XEON® 5500/3500 Series processors. Product manager for the company, Lee Wright, said that the new line of servers is to enhance software systems sales where the cost of utilizing major brand equipment for customers was cost prohibitive based on certain customer's needs when considering available budgets to fund the implementations.
Mr. Wright indicated that the new Linux distro from IBM, Lotus Foundation Start, which comes bundled with OS server management for VMware®, has made such development of an OEM option for customers practical.
The improvement in the Wrightware® Server line is welcomed. The new Wrightware® servers come in 3 versions: Series I, Series II, and Series III.
The series I and II Servers are based on the proven INTEL® i7 Quad processors.
The High Performance Series III server is fully outfitted with a three drive SATA raid, and includes the following specification for High-End Computing and Data Repository type of applications:
